I think we all know Huawei has everything set to launch it's upcoming P20 flagship series smartphones with triple camera setup this year. When it comes to the Huawei brand, it doesn't have good marketing promotion tactics. Well, this is proven by the recently happened case.
Huawei's Mate 10 Pro may be one of the best-featured smartphones in the market. But there is one thing Huawei has done recently. Literally Huawei mobile phone brand was asking people to provide the positive review for their Mate 10 Pro device. This was done by the Huawei on the Facebook platform in its private group. Huawei said that provides a positive feedback and get a chance to become the "Beta Tester" of their phone.
According to the 9to5Google reports, Huawei submitted a post in the private Facebook group. They were asking to the approximately 600,000 people to write on 'Why They Want to Own Mate 10 Pro' device in the review section. Here is a screenshot of their post.
Huawei reportedly persuaded the more than 100 people for the positive review for their Huawei Mate 10 Pro device. However, this device is only available for the pre-orders. As per mentioned in the 9to5Google article, more than 100 people who left their reviews are completely positive and every review has 5-starts says the Mate 10 Pro is the Unbeatable Smartphone, Great Device, Great flagship device.
On these, all allegations Android Authority asked for the reply to the Huawei and one of their spokesperson answered to the Android Authority. According to that spokesperson Huawei running two different campaigns. One is made for the elicit feedback from their Mate 10 Pro Beta testers of their Mate 10 Pro device and another one is designed to get more bets testers for their beat program. The post in the Facebook private group is a mistake made by their social media manager. By mistake, he uploaded a post that was directly asking for everyone to leave reviews. The post was actually created for their Beta Users for their campaign.
"Huawei’s first priority is always the consumer and we encourage our customers to share their experiences with our devices in their own voice and through authentic conversation. We believe there is confusion around a recent social media post reaching out to recruit new beta testers. While there are reviews from beta testers with extensive knowledge of the product, they were in no way given monetary benefits for providing their honest opinions of the product. However, we are working to remove posts by beta testers where it isn’t disclosed they participated in the review program."
