The Korean tech giant Samsung has filed its new patent showing the camera and fingerprint sensor placed under the display. There is no doubt that Samsung always experiments on various technology ideas. Yet, its two new flagship devices to launch in February 2018, with that Samsung has already unveiled its new foldable screen prototype at CES 2018. Now, this new Patent filed by the Samsung.

Well, the company planning to make their users get rid of the screen embedded fingerprint sensor. With this new under screen fingerprint sensor users will be able to access anything from top to the complete bottom of the phone. We have already heard about the same technology. Yes, this is already unveiled by the Chinese Smartphone maker Vivo.

Samsung filed this patent with World Intellectual Property Organization as known as WIPO in 2017. But at that time it was not unveiled. Yesterday this patent published. According to the other reports, Samsung already working on its new smartphone having integrated fingerprint sensor and the front camera of the phone under the display. Reports suggest, Samsung using system of “Holes” to implement them under the display.

This patent was firstly published by the LetsGoDigital. As per mentioned in their article, they named this patent as an ‘Electronic Apparatus Having a Hole Area Within Screen And Control Method Thereof’. Samsung’s this patent shows the almost 100% screen to body ratio. According to the patent Samsung will use the Holes made in the body to give the room to the camera and fingerprint sensor.

However, Samsung has shown the two possible way to achieve 100% screen-to-body ratio. One is by making multiple cutouts in the body and second by making the notch like iPhone X or you can say essential phone.
