Engadget has done the talk with the Linda Jiang who is the young head of the Essential’s industrial design and as per she answered — “The device look was meant to use two finishes and colors that exemplified the materials in their best light.” She answered in her sentence when Engadget team member asked for the device look. The newly announced Halo Gray is not looking elegant as other announced limited edition devices. This new device comes with the Matte Black Ceramic construction on the rear and Titanium trim.
“The reason why we have the matte black on the back is that it doesn’t fingerprint at all. It has a super-nice, almost silky bone-like finish to it. It has such a nice, warm color to it, very different from aluminum or stainless steel. I think that our original black has a different type of premium, one that’s almost bling-y and in-your-face. This one’s premium in a way that’s so understated; it’s like a matte Lamborghini Aventador versus the red Ferrari.” said Linda Jiang.
