A Japanese multinational corporation, Sharp is taking its interest in the smartphones. But it seems the company is feeling a little bit sick in the market. Last year, Sharp has released their Aquos R Compact smartphone. The phone has a notch on the front side for the tiny camera. However, it also has a humongous bezel on the bottom to house the fingerprint sensor. Somehow it is not looking great neither it suits well.
This time the company has company is back with the solution in their new Aquos R2 Compact smartphone which sports the ‘second’ notch on the bottom. Yep, you read right. It has another notch. Well, you can clearly see in the image and it makes everything, I guess.
The new Aquos R2 Compact will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset which is paired with the 4GB of RAM. It sports the 5.2-inch IGZO LCD display having a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. Out-of-the-box you will get this device running over Android 9 Pie. And to power up the internals, the company will install 2,500 mAh battery. Well, the company doesn’t go far with this device in the design section, however, it has some massive improvements internally over the Aquos R Compact.
I know… people might don’t buy this phone just to taste the dual notch design. But, my work is to share everything with you. So, the upper notch carries the front camera and the bottom notch houses the fingerprint sensor. Yes, the company has not moved fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It is still on the front. Further, the device will be exclusive to Japan. So, it will not be available in other countries.
