Meanwhile, other smartphone manufacturers still not have taken their hands over in-display fingerprint sensor technology. This new leaked image shows the Meizu’s patent for its new technology on the in-display fingerprint sensor.

According to this new patent description, the sensor which will identify the users’ finger, they will be located on the bezels around the display with ultrasonic sensors on both sides as well as on top and bottom. Till now we have seen in the Vivo X20 Plus UD mobile phone in which fingerprint sensor is located beneath the main screen in the down portion.
Ultrasonic sensors will sense the touch of users’ finger on the screen and once it captures the vibration, it sends the info to the device processor which controls the fingerprint sensor. Later on, it checks its record of fingerprint data and if it will match, the phone will be unlocked. Taking a deep look at the latent image, the ultrasonic sensors are remarked with the ‘H’ latter. I know it is hard to see. But they are on both sides as well as on top and bottom. So, there are possibilities to unlock the device from any portion of the screen. Touch anywhere on display, ultrasonic sensors will send the data to the processor and data matches, the phone will be unlocked.
