Do you hate the notch? or you are one of those who do not like the mobile phone companies who copy Apple’s design? You know what I am talking about – Notch. Almost every mobile phone manufacturers have the same ideas to make a notch as a hub of the sensors and front cameras. Apple introduced its iPhone X with the notch and it is a trend in the other smartphone vendors.
Coming to the point, OnePlus 6 had been rumored for past few months. Recently the official image of OnePlus was surfaced online and now everyone’s eye is on its launch date. However, it is not so far. Well, the earlier leaked images were clearly showing us that ugly notch which is OnePlus going to provide for their upcoming OnePlus 6 flagship smartphone. But, now it is confirmed by the OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei.

According to the Verge, OnePlus unveiled official image that shows, now it is real. OnePlus in actually going to provide that notch on the top. So, be ready OnePlus fans. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has made a tweet says, “Learn the Notch.”
The image shared by the Verge. Compared to the Apple’s iPhone X, the notch is quite smaller in the size which contains the front camera and sensors. OnePlus also revealed the approximate size of this notch. Apparently, it will be around 19.616mm x 7.687mm.
According to OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, “How big a notch always depends on your choices as a company. Our notch … it’ll be bigger than the Essential Phone, smaller than the iPhone.”
Here one thing we should note, no any single Android device has Apple’s Face ID technology. Apple uses its specialized TrueDepth Sensor to project over 30,000 dots on the human face. Apple’s notch contains mainly three pieces of hardware. An infrared camera, a dot projector and flood illuminator. Compared to Apple, Android smartphones are still on the facial recognition.
