Xiaomi has announced its Surge S1 chipset back on the February 2017 with their Xiaomi Mi 5X. It was a midrange chipset Smartphone that was available in the market. Now they announced their Xiaomi Mi 5X with some new feature and that we all know Mi A1.
Okay, apart from this, the Mobile World Congress is on its way with some great tech gadgets from the various companies. Xiaomi is coming with their Surge S1’s another successor Surge S2 in this year MWC. According to the industry sources in China this new Xiaomi’s Surge S2 chipset is will be built by the TSMC known as the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company using its 16 nm node process that will power the Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 6X, which is also set to launch in February.
The all new Xiaomi’s Surge S2 chipset to come with the Octa core CPU from whicb four Cortex-A73 core set to run on the 2.2GHz and four Cortex-A53 set to run on the 1.8GHz. With this Octa core processor the Xiaomi packed chipset with the Mali-G71 MP8. As per the report suggests, Xiaomi is looking to screw this chipset in the device with the Huawei’s Kirin 960.
As we said earlier, Xiaomi has done the re-launch of their Mi 5X device with the name of Mi A1. The first device with their Surge S2 chipset is expected to be the Mi 6X if they follow the same naming strategy. However they may also launch device globally with the name of Mi A2.
