Earlier this month, Evan Blass shared video Xiaomi Foldable smartphone which folds from two sides. Now, Company has officially confirmed the foldable smartphone is in the work. Xiaomi’s Co-Founder and President Lin Bin shared a video on his social media account saying the smartphone has been developed after several technical inflexible problems, four-wheel drive folding shaft technology, flexible cover technology, and adapting MIUI to the foldable screen.

As we can see in the video the large tablet screen can be folded from the two sides making it more compact to use. The company says this will be world’s first foldable smartphone with dual fold technology.

“This symmetrical dual-folded form perfectly combines the experience of the tablet and mobile phone, which is both practical and beautiful,” said Xiaomi president.

However, This is not the final version so we can see bugs like Screen doesn’t go off so it will be fixed in the final version. Xiaomi has no plans for the mass production yet but the company is asking their fans if they would like to buy this device or not. Xiaomi will think about the mass production if they will get a good response. There are chances that Xiaomi will show off this device at MWC 2019 which will be held in February.
